Guillaume Lopez has always been passionate about car racing and dreams of being a driver. He will even follow training to become a racing driver. Yet, it is in car drawing that he stands out.
Amateur of the comic strip Michel Vaillant, he will, at the age of 21, propose his drawings to its author Jean Graton. The magic happens and Guillaume begins to draw alongside his idol. As a perfect autodidact, he draws, with Indian ink, the vehicles and mechanical machines in the albums of this successful series. Jean Graton adds the characters to it. A 20-year collaboration that will give birth to many albums.

Car racing and sports vehicles remain his lifelong love and he dedicates his work to his passion. Drawing by hand on paper, he creates the color on a graphic tablet and prints numbered and signed series on paper and plexiglass.

Posters, stand decorations and derived objects, the artist collaborates with actors from the automotive world. Official illustrator of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, author of the posters for the 24 Hours of Spa, he created a series of illustrations with the kindness of the legendary Jacky Ickx, life sometimes holds some nice surprises…
