Sharing these few photos of Jacky takes me back to the beginning of my career as a photographer. With a photography degree in hand, and military service behind me, I tried to offer my services to newspapers and magazines of the late 1970’s.
A beautiful profession, but many called for few chosen ones. At the end of 1979 I left with some friends to follow the grand prix in Canada and the United States before going down to California for the end of the CanAm series.
Few photographers followed the CanAm series and this report allowed me to meet Régis Decobeck who opened the doors of Sport Moteur for me.
As for Jacky, this episode was to pleasantly change him from an aging Ligier with little connection to his talent… But this is another story”.
